when i try the connection test i get a fail on Psn*

This is an error for invalid CID

You can try going into rebug toolbox and changing activePs3id to CEX or DEX (whichever it isn't currently)

if it still doesn't work, your CID is either invalid or banned.
You will need to get a new, valid CID.
