Post: Increase Upload Speed
11-15-2008, 07:46 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I read online that when you are lagging you need to focus on your upload speed when trying to lag. I read that if you have under 1.5mb for an upload speed you might not be able to lag at all and will be immediately dc'ed when flipping the switch. This could explain my problem. I have a 9.6mb download speed but my upload speed is strikingly lower at .9mb or 948kb. Is there any way to increase this by another single MB so I can start lagging? Thanks
Uch

The main thing you would have to do is upgrade through you isp........ if you have a router you can setup a dmz to have the system bypass any firewall settings... that could increase it a little

Opening your ports aren't going to help increase your upload speed. Your speed is what it is. If you want an upgrade then upgrade to your ISPs next highest speed.
