Requirements

PlayStation 3 connected to your Home Network
You must login or register to view this content. (Click to download v3.41 firmware from Sony)
You must login or register to view this content. (Click for a list of compatible devices)


  1. Start up your PS3 and JailBreak it
  2. Start up PS3 FTP Server on your PS3 and click "Start FTP Server"
  3. Once the server is started, go back to your PC and open FileZilla
  4. On FileZilla, click "File -> Site Manager -> New Site"
  5. Look at the IP Address on your PS3; this will be the "Host" for FileZilla
  6. On FileZilla, the port you will use is 21
  7. The username you will use is FTPD12345
  8. The password you will use is blank (no password at all)
  9. At the top of the configuration window on FileZilla, click "Transfer Settings"
  10. Check the box "Limit number of simultaneous connections'
  11. Set the value to "1"
  12. Click connect and you should be connected directly to your PS3's HDD.

OKay so I'm at the point where you're supposed to replace the patch with the modded one,its not recognizing the new patch so I don't have the option to overwrite,i took off my windows firewall and its still happening,any advice??

Thanks alot but you can also just do a quick connect

1.Jailbreak the ps3 and open up Blackb0x v2 (best ftp)
2.Open up Filezilla on your PC and in put in your Ps3's IP adress which will be on your ps3's screen on Blackb0x and place it into the "host" bar
3.Finally, put in the username: FTPD12345 and port:21 and click "quick connect"

are you sure ur puttingthe patch in the right directory cuz thats what happened to me

Yo man i got a question. I allready did all of that and im hosting challenge lobbies thanks to you. But i updated to 3.50 and i was wondering if theres anyway to change patches without JB? Hit me back man.

ftp server is old and unstable. just use Comgenie's Awesome Filemanager. much easier much more stable
