It wasn't previously jailbroken nor did it have any custom firmwares.
I've tried putting it into recovery mode but that didn't work out.
Once I startup my PS3, the install automatically begins.
Is there any way I can force install another firmware, or just make it stop installing at startup?

Hmm I say Install The 3.54 OFW By Going To Sony's Official Site, Put it on a flash drive go to settings and update Firmware then Update VIA Storage Media.. Try That then re-update to 3.56.. It Will Work This Happened to me Before :black:

I say call sony there the only ones that could help you. If you don't want to call keep letting it run and Maybe it will finish the download.

take out the hdd then leave it out for 30 mins then put it back in
