(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The dev who took claim to our open-source downgrading bounty, call him graf_chokolo, has made mention he’s bringing OtherOS back — back with the same access rights as GameOS, meaning, “access to Dispatcher Manager, Update Manager, VFLASH, HDD encryption/decryption, isolated SPUs and RSX of course.”
Full access under Linux may provide a better means of hacking Sony’s beloved PS3 too. Follow the source and read on to see where graf’s at, seems promising…

I wish graf_chokolo the best of luck, the possibilities of a full-access Linux on PS3 would be awesome, and if were able to get OtherOS back with full access rights, I'm going to experiment getting Windows to run, I know it's a different Processor Type but anything is possible when you keep at it!

EDIT: Thinking about it, OSX would be easier as it natively supports the PowerPC architecture.
