Using homebrew online does get you banned! Not instant but it will. I was banned they detected my Pirated Games from Multiman after 3 months.

Most the myths you said were false are actually true... Obviously you haven't been around here for more than a month so your not talking from experience. Using homebrew online (all your friends can see and so can Sony), hardcore modding (Enough Reports = Ban), not clearing your history of homebrew (That's like not clearing your web history after watching porn). Buddy, your time will come very soon I imagine.

There's no official way to not be banned. It's a matter of using your resources with common sense.
If you are signed in and your friends can see you playing Multiman, don't you think Sony can see it as well? Use your homebrew offline and try to avoid modding games like Ghosts. As TheSaltCracka stated, so many reports can also get you banned.
The only thing you can do is slow down banning. Make it a little less noticeable by disabling your System Calls and such..
