this is an updated tutorial to get to ps3ita 4.50, original tutorial was a bit outdated. The person who asked my permission to repost the original tut on NGU got banned, so i decided to make a new one.

Requirements
CFW PS3
Removable Disk

Before We begin the tutorial, make sure there are no discs or any game mounted on your system. Restart Your PS3 Just to make sure. The tutorial also assumes you know how to install firmwares and package files.

First step

if you're on a 4.46, 4.50 4.60 4.65 E.t.c CFW, install the Rebug 3.55.4 Downgrader Located here

After you have installed that, Install Rebug 4.21

Now install Toggleqa.pkg

It will Blackscreen and Restart your system. Now the converting can actually begin.

STEP 2

Install eid root key dumper.

It will also blackscreen and restart your system.

Install Multiman or You can also use FTP

Plug Your USB in, Right slot. Head to File manager in Multiman, Open two tabs. one in dev_hdd0 and one in dev_usb.
Then head to /dev_hdd0/game/FLTZ00010/USRDIR, You will see your Eid_root_key, Copy that eid_root_key to Your usb. Which is DEV_USB

STEP 3

Next comes the Part Most People have Problem with and a very Critical Part. IF You dont make valid Dump,You could Semi-Brick Your Console, or encounter errors. Just read very carefully. If you have a problem look back here and made sure you did everything EXACTLY like Put.

Before We Start ,First,Go to Control Panel, Then Folder Options, Then switch to the Tab Named view.
IF the Option Hide extensions for Known File type is Checked, Uncheck it. then Apply and press Ok.

Now install Rebug toolbox

Plug your USB in the right slot. Make sure it's plugged into the RIGHT slot.
Now Locate the Option Export Flash to File.

Click it. And Take Your USB OUT When it is Finished.

Now we are Going to Install C2D+ Openssl.

Extract the Folder C2D to the Root of C:

LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY. EXTRACT The Folder named C2D to the ROOT of C: , don't drag it to your usb and open it, Don't put it on the desktop. IT HAS TO BE IN THE ROOT OF C DRIVE!.

Then install the WIN32Openssl.exe to the Root of C:

Make sure it looks EXACTLY like that.Lowercase letters. Try installing it a few times if you have problems.

Now Plug Your USB into Your Computer and Put Both Your eid_root_key and Your Flash into THE C2D Folder.

RENAME EID_ROOT_KEY TO eid_root_key.bin
RENAME Your flash to flashCEX.bin

It Should now Look Like This

Now if You PRESS CTRL PLUS SHIFT then RIGHT CLICK on an EMPTY Space in the C2D folder You should see This Option for CMD

Select open Command window here and You should SEE this

Now type this in exactly like i have it. make sure those spaces are also included.

    c2d.exe  eid_root_key.bin flashCEX.bin flashDEX.bin 82

Now Press enter and You Should Get this.

Now if You look in the C2D Folder . You have a new File Called
flashDEX.bin

You must login or register to view this content.

They MUST be the Same Size.

Now Here comes an Important Part

You can check if you have a NOR OR NAND HERE

IF You have a NANDBIN PS3

Rename the flashCEX.bin to

    CEX-FLASH.EID0.NANDBIN

Rename the flashDEX.bin to

    DEX-FLASH.EID0.NANDBIN

IF YOU HAVE A NORBIN PS3

Rename the flashCEX.bin to

    CEX-FLASH.EID0.NORBIN

Rename the flashDEX.bin to

     DEX-FLASH.EID0.NORBIN

Now Put both These two in a Flash Drive.

Plug it into the PS3's RIGHT Slot . RIGHT SLOT.

Go to Rebug Toolbox

.

Locate that option and Click it. You'll get a few warning boxes , Press yes.

If It Forces You to Restart, Do so. The dump should be Valid and You will Restart With no Problem.

Now locate This Option in Rebug Toolbox.

Choose it.

Now if You go to System Settings. IT Will Say Rebug 4.21 DEX

Target Type-DEX
LV2 Kernel Type-DEX

STEP 4

i recommend saving the flash and eid_root_key on your computer.

Install PS3ITA 4.50

Before You can Sign in.
go to Debug Settings.
Make sure These Settings are Set.
Release Check Mode-Development Mode
Boot Mode-System Software Mode
Network Settings for Debug-Single Settings.

Now Install PS3ITA 4.50 manager

Open it. Press Start , Go to Network Tools then Restore Default ID[EID5}

You will have to do this every time you restart your console, However you can set the PS3's CID to automatically boot at startup Either by switching to ps3ita 4.55 and using Cfw setup, or ccapi 2.60's SET CID app.

can u do a 100% safe way reverse tutorial of going back to cex just in case ? most of the bricks that happen r in the case of going from dex2cex u knw

Yes , i know. There's DEX2CEX Tutorial on PS3HAX.NET, and Honestly i prefer DEX a lot more to CEX so i see no reason to switch back. But that option is there.

Good Post! :yes: Also you should add CFW Setup v4 from the ITA devs it has a built in spoofer so you just run it and click install 4.60 spoof, and fan controller

Honestly i loved it when DEX didn't need a spoof fucking cu nts at sony...

use cex2dex tool its very easy like this.drag and drop the key and the dump.its much quicker.i have use cmd to get back from dex to cex without cex dump.but if u want dex use cex2dex tool.
