I am only posting this cause i was stuck on 3.55dex cfw for a long time and i couldn't find a easy solution to this error so i thought i would help anyone else that is having the problem.

This problem occur when you are trying update or downgrade. when you go to update via storage the text is gray and it give you this error "80029AAC".

It is very easy to fix here are the steps:

1)You need to have your cex dump backed up somewhere, if you dont have it you will have to get your dex dump and convert it to cex, i don't know how to do this, search on how to!

2)Install latest version of cex muitiman installed, here is a link to it:

3)Once it installed put your Cex dump on your usb root and rename it to "my-original-cex.EID0.NORBIN"

4)Put the usb in the right slot and go on multiman and go file manger and open your usb, double click the dump and press yes to everything.

5)Once its done restart your ps3 and install a cex ofw or cfw.

6)Now your done
