- You Will Need 4 Very Simple Things.
1. A USB Flash Drive With Over 1gb Memory and Formatted To Fat32.
2. A Jailbroken PS3 obviously.
3. A Laptop or Mac or Computer
4. Patients.
Okay First things 1st Download the Rebug 999 Downgrader Or The Dex Downgrader And The selected Cex/Dex CFW.
Okay So You've Downloaded Them. Great Now Rename Both Files By Right Clicking On Them And Selecting Rename. Now Rename Both
Files To PS3UPDAT.PUP ( Be Sure To Have Them Separated In Different Folder's ) Great So You Have Renamed Both Files.
Now Open Up The USB Folder Which Should Be Formatted To Fat32.
Now Once You Have Opened It You Should See That It is Empty.
Great Now We Right Click Inside The USB Where There Is No Files.
Now We Hover Over New and Then More Options Will Be Available.
Now Select New Folder and Rename That Folder To { PS3 } And Inside The PS3 Folder
You Create A New Folder. Now Rename This Folder To { UPDATE }
Okay So Now You Have To Drag The Rebug 999 Downgrader Or Dex Downgrader File Which You Renamed To PS3UPDAT.PUP
Into The UPDATE Folder On Your USB. Great So You Have Done That.
Now Put Your USB Flash Drive Into The Right Most Port On Your PS3.
Now On Your PS3 Navigate To The System Setting's And Select System Update.
Now That You Have Done That Select { Update Via Storage Media }.
Now Just Go With The Update. But If The Update Fails Do The Update From The Recovery Menu,

- Please Make Sure You Have No Games In Your PS3 While You Are Running The Downgrade.
Okay Now That You're On 3.55 You Can Go Ahead And Take Your USB Out Of Your PS3 And Put It Into Your Laptop Ect,
Now Navigate To The UPDATE Folder On You USB Stick And Delete The PS3UPDAT.PUP File And Replace It With The Desired CFW
For An Example Rebug 4.75.3 REX Or D-REX Edition Now That You Have Replaced The Downgrader PUP File With The New CFW
Go Ahead And Put Your USB Stick Back Into The Right Most Port Of Your PS3 And Again Navigate To The System Settings
And Select System Update Then Select Update Via Storage Media And Go Ahead With The Update.
How To Get To The Recovery Menu.
To Get Into Recovery Mode Just Turn Your PS3 Off By Pressing The Power Button. Then When The PS3 Is Fully Off
Press And Hold The Power Button Until The PS3 Turns Off Again. Then When The PS3 Is Off Press And Hold The Power
Button Until You Hear Two Beeps. Then Release The Power Button.
Now That Your On The Recovery Menu Select System Update Then Press And Hold Start And Select.
