But I'm looking to buy another ps3 on 3.55 firmware and jailbroken for modding.

I'm abit confussed on buying options though i been reading you can downgrade a slim by deleting firmware then putting 3.55 on it

Or I could just buy a 3.55 problem is i can't find a good place To buy them I have been trying NGU and no luck so far.

Also I read you can buy 3.55 from the shops (when you buy a ps3 which is a older model isn't updated so it has 3.55 firmware

Please tell me if these methods are true and a good place to buy them, or a simple way to get one via downgrade

i found one on gumtree, took me a week, texting and ringing every old model i could see and asking them to check the firmware lol, shops will not check for you, iv tried that, for one to be on 3.55 means they havent played any games newer than the likes of black opsor havent been played online which is a longshot, im selling mine soon, im in n.ireland, there are a good few on ebay aswel

You can't delete a firmware and then put another on it. I don't even know what to say about that really lol. Also, I suggest you search around on eBay or craigslist for a 3.55 or below PS3. If you want to downgrade, make sure your PS3 is NOR, under the 3.55 factory default FW when you purchased it and then buy a E3 Flasher.

My 4.20 I got in 2008 so I could downgrade it I have previously downgraded a slim and failed by bricking it so I don't want to try it again.

I only would use the 3.55 for call of duty patches so I may look to borrow one then send back to owner with the payment
