Yes i would recommend the limited edition as it include the ESATA station which you will need because of the flasher taking the hard drive space in your ps3. So the ESATA will be needed

Yes it's fairly easy to do. I bought mine from modchipcentral so not sure where else that sells them legit. The limited only comes with the eSata dock and cables.

There's a few good tuts on YouTube and e3's site on the downgrading process. Is your ps3 able to downgrade to the fw you desire? Make sure before buying one. Any others questions just ask as I've done quite a few consoles and have it down.

Yeah PS3 slim is on 4.25, wanting to goto 3.55. Modchip don't sell anymore.

So you already checked your model number to ps3devwiki to make sure it's downgradable to 3.55?

Yeah its CECH 2103A. PS3 Wiki says it can go down to 3.20 or 3.40.

Now I just need to find a place to get one...
