Ok, so I have been looking around the internet and came across Rogeros 4.41 CFW. So that got me thinking should I update to his FW?
Then I read about some more and came across QA Flagging (Don't have any idea what this is).
And I read it has something to do with downgrading back to 3.55 (Could be totally wrong...).
And then I also read about CEX and DEX consoles, reading all this is making me confused  (BTW, I understand that CEX is retail and DEX is dev...)
I was wondering if someone is kind enough to explain what most of this means
I.e. What is QA Flagging, if I update to Rogeros 4.41 can i downgrade back to 3.55, is it worth it? Etc...
(Yes I understand this is a EXTREMELY nooby post, but I couldn't find any answers online sadly).
Also to state the obvious yes I have a 3.55 PS3 running Kmeaws FW.
EDIT: Or shall I update to rebug 3.55.2, or rebug 4.40?
No offense intended, but you should research a little more into what is what before screwing up your $200+ dollar console. That said, I'll be glad to help you. :happyguy:
1) QA Flag Toggle is a debug check that, put simply, allows for easier downgrading back to a previous firmware without hassle. Say you enable QA Flag and install Rebug 4.41.2 "Lite" then want to go back to 3.55, simply put Rebug 3.55.4 "REX" on a USB then update through the Recovery menu. I recommend ALWAYS enabling QA Flag Toggle. To enable QA Flag toggle, download "Rebug Toolbox v2.01.02" from my thread, go to the furthest right column and "Enable" it.
2) DEX firmware allows for many options but many focus on the ability to RTE/RTM or "Real Time Memory Editing" which allows for stats to be changed in games whether it be CoD prestige, GT5 car horsepower, etc. Rebug 4.41.x does not allow for DEX/CEX switching so if you want that option, use Rebug 4.30.2 "REX" as your firmware.
3) Any other problems you have please consult my and other's threads for info. The one below is the one that best fits you right now.
