(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So long story short, my brother has had this PS3 slim that i think is bricked personally i'm not sure how.. must have been a ps3 update that may have caused it. There reason why i think it's bricked is when you turn the ps3 on it stays on for around 30 seconds and turns it self off. no YLOD just a simple green LED that goes off. When i click the power button again, the red LED comes back on.

The system will not go into safe mode or allow me to reset the video what so ever. So people who think it's the please don't say so.

I've tried a numerous amount of things including:

- Changing Power Supply
- Remove HDD


Specs:

Model: PS3 Slim (3000 series)
Motherboard: KTE-001
Current Firmware: 4.30FW

I have taken the PS3 apart and installed a E3 Flasher. (I have updated the Flasher)
The PS3 didn't stay on so i installed a small wire going from the tristate on the motherboard directly to ground. Turning the PS3 on again, it stayed on successfully. I then did 2 dumps and made a copy of them just in case something went wrong.

I have the following tools which i have used...

BwE NOR Validator which gave me a useful output of the backup in html. (see what the problems where)

I also used PS3 Nor Dump Auto Patcher v0.01 which helped fix some of the warning, errors etc...

FYI: The Ps3 hasn't been tampered with until now.

After i ran the bkpps3 through the Auto Patcher i ran it through the Nor Validator to see what results i get.

I then had better results but still get warnings etc....

I thought this would fix my problem so i overwritten the old flash with the new one made in auto patcher. I then remove the wire that was keeping the console turned on. Again the console turned it's self off.

I am really tempted now to go and buy a broken ps3 off eBay and remove the nor chip from that and replacing it with the current one on my motherboard.

I'm not wanting to downgrade this console in anyway, i just want to get it back to it's functional state..

In both of the bkpps3.bin files it clearly states that the system is not downgrade-able anyways.

3.60 [NOT DOWNGRADEABLE]

If anyone can help me, all help is appreciated..

P.S.. I am not willing to give anyone the bkpps3.bin file due to there being a console ID and PSID which are sacred to this console. I know there are people out there who want them for there banned jailbroken consoles. But sorry, it's not going to happen.

I'm baffled to why you would continue if it informed you that it cannot be downgraded?
I think and pretty sure you are fck-ed sir!

If you would of done your research you would found out that 3K and 4K cannot be downgraded!

You can only read the NOR but cannot re-write it.
Since you tried to reflash....you delete your NOR data and now it cannot be rewrtitten

Sell the CID or keep it for a nice ebay PS3
