First of all, you need a jailbroken console.

You need a Custom Firmware. From there visit You must login or register to view this content. in order to install some modifications to your console.

NextGenUpdate

You can't jailbreak a console on any firmware but 3.55. The only way to go back to that is downgrade your console with an e3 flasher which is a piece of hardware. Also not every model is downgradable.
