Post: Help ps3 cpu running at 85c+

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I am running a cfw and I tried a fan control homebrew but I don't know about running the fan really high non-stop. I don't have much money to do hardware mods. Tell me if its ok to run the fan on high all the time. And tell me a good fan control homebrew because this one makes my console freeze when I load a game.

Open the ps3 up clean out all the dust and apply new thermal paste it will bring your temp down a lot.

i would recommend using gamesonic fan utility to change your fan speed. u need to start the pkg at every boot manually

Running the fan high should be okay, just make sure the fans aren't too dusty. The only real issue is noise. To cool it down I recommend replacing the thermal paste, that'd be the best way. Temps above 80 is quite bad for the PS3.
