Post: Need some insurance on this

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So every once in a while my PS3 freezes and I just shut it off, then when it reboots, I'm greeted with the message that says "playstation didn't turn off properly, check the files and make sure nothing is corrupted, etc. may take about 3 hours." If I repair, restore, check, any files, will it effect my cfw? I'm on 4.65 ita DEX cobra. I just need insurance on this.

Just press O to cancel it, if you want to see if there are any errors select restore file system from recovery menu.

But if its running ok just cancel it & dont bother, happens to me all the time when a tool freezes my ps3

If you go ahead it should not affect your cfw, but ive heard that for some people it gets stuck on 99% of checking.

Nothing like formatting, restoring file system or rebuilding database will affect the custom firmware. Has it actually got stuck on 99% if so what did you do?

I haven't done it yet, I'm asking what should I do if it does happen...

This does nothing at all its just de-frags your ps3's hdd and just makes things run a little smoother.
