It's used to spoof your CID,PSID and disable sys calls so it looks like you're on OFW

CID is your Console ID. PSID is your Account ID, use PSNPatch then PSNinja.

PSNpatch is also used to patch PS3 Games to 4.46 (Helps if you're playing a recently released game, and it requires higher firmware like PS3 4.80, but you don't want to update your PS3)
