Install ccapi 2.60 on computer and install 2.70 on the PS3 should fix it works for me fine

Why not update to a tool that supports 2.70? Or use 2.60 pkg on the PS3?

Another moethod i been using is, Put your PS3 on 2.70 & your PC on 2.60. Then you will be able to use rtm tools on both 2.70 & 2.60

Install the latest ccapi version on your pc. Then install ccapi 2.70 on the PS3 as a package file run it and enable it.
Then proceed to connect from PC to PS3. If the application you are using has not been packed into a single executable then you can simply swap out the PS3lib that will come with ccapi 2.70 to the current PS3lib in the applications folder.

This seems to be answered, if u have a wired connection and the tool supports it i would recommend TMAPI
