If it's an early model with NOR chip, you could use that method to extract the CID. If the console works, you dont need to destroy it..just use e3 flasher and grab a backup. If its a newer model with EEMC chip, I dont think there is anything you can do to get a backup from it.

You can't get the IDPS off of it. Unless it's on a firmware lower than 4.70, there is no way. You'd be better off buying them for $20 and saving yourself the time and labor of manually doing it.

I don't know about shopping online. Do you think a local mechanical that is experienced with this could sell some?
