Maybe EA's and Rockstar's servers block VPN usage.

What VPN is it your using? i have alot of knowledge on VPN usage, staying anonymous on mostly everything. Could be the issue that the connection on the VPN your using is that slow it just cant connect or continue reasons..

I'd suggest you to change your VPN network. Also: If you got IP banned just Restart your Router or Call Your ISP to change your ip.

Check your nat type is may be strict or your VPN may be closing ports but I don't know much about vpns or how they work but I do know cod plays with strict nat type if you go online in GTA 5 and it connects but no ones ever in any the lobby's then nat type is strict
