Hi guys,
this is my first tweak or hack for Max Payne 3
It is in a beta status. i'm updating this if a managed every line of it

NYM Hardcore useless because of one kill scenes
but it works perfect for story!

How to get this to work:
you need a Max Payne 3 Update
this was for Europe
"EP1004-BLES00942_00-MP3PATCH00000002-A0102-V0100-PE"
look @ the update from the site brewology for your region
now you have to options:
you have a cfw with a usb dongle and a spoof to go online later (to sync trophies)
or
you have two ps3:
3.55 CFW PS3 to modify the update then data transfer to 4.11 OFW PS3
FTP -> Replace file (Globalsettings.xml)
in hdd0/game/(your Max Payne 3 region code folder)/USRDIR/common/data

you should mod a save for health to be unlimited play 1 level of story mode and save the game hopefully that locks the mod into the save

i know this is random but. i just made it to chapter 13 and froze i never went into last stand the whole game and i froze i almost threw controller @ TV \ ifelt like i just lost a million dollar lottery ticket

I tried some edits to the XML some time ago and could not get anything to stick.
I've tried this one now and I'm getting the same thing. It's like both have been completely ignored.
I believe you that you had it tested and it works, but there must be a scenario which stops it from working. If I can work out what it is, I'll let you know.

When I tried my own edits, I already had the game installed and updated. When it did not work, I just forgot about it.
Tonight I replaced the XML file with your version and it was the same thing.
Nothing happens at all. If I start NYMH, it is as if the XML settings were the original. I tried starting a game on Easy and that is the same also.
I have just deleted the game data and downloaded the update without installing the game. I've copied the XML to the update's installation and I am now allowing the game to install itself. I will see if that makes a difference.
If that does not work, I will try 2moro with no game data and install the update PKG myself and switch the XML. I will keep you updated...
