Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Modded Starter Saves
Here're some starter saves + trophy saveset, mostly provided by other NGU users. These should unlock 90+% of the trophies. Only things that are missing are several story related trophies you can easily get by playing the game on any difficulty.
You will need to resign/region change using the usual methods (Xploder, GG, BSD, save editor). For region change, change the folder name, copy over your own PARAM.sfo then resign. For BSD, add the following to games.conf:
; "Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2"
If you're looking to mod your own save to have an easier time with the story:mike20036 has posted a save editor made by Jappi88 & Co. over at 360haven: Castlevania LoS 2 save editor. It groups entries into lists and has Vulnavia's CRC fixer built-in, making your life easier. I've looked into it a bit, and here're some simple instructions:
1. Replace the text in "Favorite Mods.txt" with the following: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
2. Load you save ([File] --> [Load Directory (PS3)]) into the editor, and go to [Favorite Mods] tab, and edit whatever you like. Some examples:
Consumables: change the value of both Player@!XXX and Player@!XXXMax (XXX being the name of the relic) to 9 to get 9/9 of that relic. You can set it higher, but it might freeze the game.
Ability enable/disable: true/false or 1/0 (1 being enabled). For example, change Player@!DoubleJump from 0 to 1 enables double jump. May cause problems if you enable abilities ahead of story.
To get infinite magic, set Player@!VoidMagicNoCost and Player@!ChaosMagicNoCost to "true". Might stop working. If that happens, just reapply them.
Game difficulty: _GameSkill_ (0: Twilight Knight 1: Creatures of the Night 2: Lord of Shadow 3: Prince of Darkness).
Player@Life, Player@Void, Player@Chaos: setting these to 100 fill your life/void/chaos bar.
Player@$ExperiencePoints: set this to 99,999.
TRAVELER_BOOK_SKILLS_CHAOS_MASTERY_LEVEL: setting this to 3 masters the weapon.
You can right click to remove or add particular items to the favorite list, or just change the Favorite Mod.txt file.
-Saves 1: these are starter saves at the beginning of the Bioquimek Corporation level, right after travel book is unlocked. The Castle Siege Prologue (shown in the demo) has already been completed on the save, so you can start a new game and go through that first before using these.
1.1: 999,999 EXP and nothing else:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Earning any amount of EXP in game pops:
[Bronze] Experienced - Gain a total of 10000 Experience Points
[Bronze] Specialist - [/B]Gain a total of 50000 Experience Points [Silver] Veteran - Gain a total of 100000 Experience Points
Go in skills menu and purchase all skills and upgrades for the Whip to pop:
[Bronze] Start the Path - Acquire a skill [Bronze] The Path of the Whip - Acquire all of the Shadow Whip skills and upgrades
1.2: 999,999 EXP + zero Void and Chaos magic cost when unlocked (untested):
SAVE SCRAPPED AS IT BLOCKS PROGRESSION
1.3: 999,999 EXP + working zero Void and Chaos magic cost: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
This is saved right after the fight to save Trevor where you obtain the white wolf medallion. Both void sword and chaos claws are unlocked, with infinite magic.
-Saves 2: Here's several saves for unlocking trophies:
2.1: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Load up the save, skip the cutscene ([START]), press [SELECT], go in the weapon skills menu and press [X] on skills that are glowing red (mastered) to transfer mastery to the weapon until weapon mastery level reaches MAX. Do this for all 3 weapons to pop:
[Bronze] Initiated Mastery - Increase the Mastery Level of a weapon [Bronze] Whip Master - Increase the Mastery Level of the Shadow Whip to the maximum [Bronze] Sword Master - Increase the Mastery Level of the Void Sword to the maximum [Bronze] Claw Master - Increase the Mastery Level of the Chaos Claws to the maximum [Silver] Weapons Master - Increase the Mastery Level of all weapons to the maximum
While still in the weapon skills menu, buy the last remaining skill of the Chaos Claws to pop:
[Bronze] The path of the Claws - Acquire all of the Chaos Claws skills and upgrades
The corresponding trophy for the Shadow Whip can be unlocked using Save 1.1. (The Void Sword is bugged out on this save with several abilities greyed out, use Save 2.2 below to unlock its corresponding upgrade trophy)
Here's a save for the missing Void Sword and all Weapon skill trophies. Apologies for not making them into one save:
2.2: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Load up the save, hit [SELECT], enter weapon skills menu and purchase the last remaining skills for the Chaos Claws (Chaos Wave) and Void Sword (Hoarfrost fog). Provided that you used Save 1.1 and Save 2.1 to pop the other weapon skill trophies in order, this will get you the last weapon skill trophies:
[Bronze] The Path of the Sword - Acquire all of the Void Sword skills and upgrades [Silver] The Path of the Warrior - Acquire all the skills and upgrades
Here's a great post-game save provided by Dracul_Dragon for unlocking the challenge, artwork and 110% completion trophies:
2.3: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
The save loads you into the middle of the first Sapphire series challenge. Press and hold [DOWN] on the D-pad to open up relics menu. With the right analog stick, select dragon talisman (the one at 6 o’clock), then summon your dragon form by holding [R2]. The battle will be won after the cutscene, which you can skip by pressing [SELECT] --> [Yes]. The following trophy will pop:
[Bronze] Kaleidos Champion I - Complete all the Reminiscences of Sapphire challenges
The 3 experience-related trophies will pop as well if you don't have them already:
Once that's done, finish the first challenges of the Ruby and Amethyst series using the same technique (hold [R2] to summon dragon form. You have 9 dragon talismans) to pop:
[Bronze] Kaleidos Champion II - Complete all the Recollections of Ruby challenges [Bronze] Kaleidos Champion III - Complete all the Reminders of Amethyst challenges
Finish the second challenge (the first challenge has too many skeletons) of the Emerald series using the same technique (hold [R2] to summon dragon form, you will need to do it 3 times for the 3 enemy waves) to pop:
[Bronze] Kaleidos Champion IV - Complete all the Memories of Emerald challenges [Silver] Kaleidos Hero - Complete all of the Kleidos challenges
To pop the last Kaleidos challenge trophy, use 2.4 below. Sorry, I had to include an extra save in order for the trophies to pop in the correct order (if you care about this sort of thing). If you don't, then simply change the difficulty to "Prince of Darkness" on save 2.3 (you can do it mid or post-battle, doesn't matter) to pop [Gold] Kaleidos Legend and ignore save 2.4 .
Once you're done with the challenges, press [SQUARE] to return to the castle. Skip another cutscene and you'll be at Chupacabras' shop. Press [CIRCLE] near the bell to enter the shop. Purchase anything except the scroll in the lower right to pop:
[Bronze] Good customer - Buy an item at the Chupacabras' shop [Silver] Customer of the month - Spend a total of 20000 Experience Points at the Chupacabras' shop
Now purchase the last artwork (scroll in the lower right) to pop:
[Bronze] Philanthropist - Collect all the art [Gold] The Outer Limits - Complete 110% of the game
Save 2.3 is also great for a new game+ run, which can be selected from the Extras menu.
Here’s a save provided by franchiseboy83 that gives you the last challenge trophy.
2.4: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
The save loads you into a challenge battle. Summon your dragon form and defeat all enemies to pop:
[Gold] Kaleidos Legend - Complete all of the Kleidos challenges at "Prince of Darkness" difficulty
Here's a convenient end-game save provided by Dracul_Dragon for unlocking the last story and difficulty trophies with no effort on your part:
2.5: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
The save loads you to right after the final boss battle. All you have to do is skip the cutscenes with [SELECT] --> [YES], and the following trophies will pop:
[Silver] The End - Annihilate Satan and save the world, again [Gold] Prince of Darkness - Complete the game at "Prince of Darkness" difficulty
Here's a save kindly provided by JamesDRobbins for technically the only missable trophy:
2.6: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Press [R1] for Chaos Claws, then [UP] to select Chaos Bombs, and shoot the owl in front of you with [R2] to pop:
[Bronze] Classic Flavor - Cook a chicken in the old style
Here’s two saves kindly provided by franchiseboy83 that unlock the remaining collectibles trophies. I'm already done with the game, so I haven't tested them myself:
2.7: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I suggest using the other save for 110% complete though as it's much more efficient!

Follow the instructions and with a little bit of searching you should get:
[Bronze] Void Collector - Recover 30 Void Gems [Bronze] Chaos Collector - Recover 30 Chaos Gems [Bronze] Life Collector - Recover 30 Life Gems [Bronze] Multiple Pockets - Recover all the upgrades for the relics [Silver] Expert Silversmith - Recover all the Void, Chaos and Life gems
Missing trophies: The only missing trophies are story related. With the save editor posted above, you should be able to go through the story and destroy all bosses with little trouble, the only possible exception being Agreus the Satyr, due to the stealth section that precedes it. If you have problem with the stealth, either abuse your Mist Form (you'll be invisible to him), or use Save 2.6 above to bypass it.
I think I'm done with this. Thanks everyone for the great contributions!
