If I remember right you can't take anything into that DLC.

At the end of the DLC it requires you to increase one of your SPECIAL Stats, which prevents further progression. I'm not sure if any of the other DLC's do this

The character creation is already done and I do believe that I already went outside the area where it lets you re-create it.
