Always using the Control Fan Utility mod because these models are prone to YLOD. Had it for a few years now and no problem. *Knock on wood*

but the ps3 has to be loud to be between these temps right? i would like to use Control fan utility but i don't know how can u give me like short steps on how to use it ? i don't want to fuck up my ps3.

and is it better than the webman fan control utility ?

Yes, the system is normally loud. But it doesn't really bother me. I like using it as a heater for my room because it tends to get colder in my room in the winter. But anyway, you can't fuck your Ps3 up with this. If it doesn't work when you start it your PS3 will only freeze and you'll have to restart. Just download a pkg file of CFU, launch it, then pick your fan settings. I don't know if it's better than webman since I don't use it, but i would assume they are the same. Also, 80*C isn't very good. That's 176 degrees fahrenheit which after awhile would easily melt the insides of your system.

ceche01

cfw 4.81.2 D-REX
cpu- 48c
gpu- 38c

there are fan utility applications in brewology but if your on rebug you can use webman to set the minimum fan speed i recommend setting it at auto at 60 and minimum at 65

Okay...
It's a PS3 Slim CECH-2501A, I think. Just got it used with pre-installed Rebug CFW, 4.81.2 CEX, the latest Rebug version.

Idle:
CPU - 40°C-55°C
RSX - 35°C-50°C
Fan speed - 30%

In-game:
CPU - 65°C
RSX - 62°C
Fan speed depends on the game, for example non-demanding games like LittleBigPlanet keep it at 35% and demanding games like GTA V keep it at 45%.

Are those temperatures and fan speeds good? I had a different PS3, same model and CFW, that died just two months ago. The fan speed was at 50% constantly, and the temperatures went up to 75°C. I dunno if it died because of that, but it was pretty old so it was understandable.

Edit: It's actually a first generation slim, a CECH-2004B. I just checked it now. And also the fan speed can rack up to 50% while keeping the same 65°C as before. I'll clean up the fan slots a bit, they might be clogged.
