Well it's been 2 years and there has been nothing from Playstation on shutting down the PS3 servers. This discussion is for everyone to decide if you think they are going to or not, or if they should or shouldn't.

I give the ps3 five more years.I still use it and many more people too.

Yeah I'd say about thay much too. Playstation has alot of money, they should be able to support 5 more years.

Eh, PS2 lasted till 2016. PS3 ain't going nowhere. I see it lasting till the early 2020's, and then PS5 will be out. I mean, PS2's last server shut down 3 years into PS4's lifespan.

Yeah that's true. The PS3 was also their biggest hit before the PS4. They will probably keep it for awhile.

I have no clue where the source is. I've just heard alot of rumors about it and decided to put it up. I made this discussion to see if it was also true or not.

It will last for along time

PS3 will still be up for a few more years because alot of people still play it and they still make alot of money from it.

I never heard it was being shut down in 2 years after PS4's release. I figure it probably has until PS5 before they'll consider dropping the servers.
