If I do this, can I reinstall the default firmware again? Or do I have to wait up to 2.50 no longer in beta phase is?

Will I still be able to connect to PSN after doing this? If so, is there any chance of a ban?

You can go online and shouldn't be banned.

Small note to people who want to try this;

Keep in mind that a beta firmware is prone to have flaws, and that you are unable to downgrade your PS4 back to the most recent (public) firmware, which is 2.04.

It is also worth to mention that the Remote Play feature, the one that lets you use the PS4 screen on your PS Vita (TV), requires the PS Vita to run a firmware that has not been released yet (a firmware higher than 3.36).

This pretty much makes it impossible to use this feature, until Sony publishes the public PS4 FW 2.50 and a new PS Vita firmware alongside it.

ok, so i tried this and all i get is:

i have literally tried everything, changing all the eu's to uk's, i even downloaded a copy of the xml and tried playing around with that, but still no luck. oh well

Easy way if you're stuck.

If you’re in Euro territories:

Get any SKFU’s Pr0xy server (wololo.net)
Start & setup the Proxy Server on your PlayStation4
Redirect “[url]https://feu01.ps4.update.playstation.net/update/ps4/list/eu/ps4-updatelist.xml”[/url] to “[url]https://feu01.ps4.update.playstation.net/update/ps4/beta/list/eu/ps4-updatelist.xml”[/url]
Restart your PS4
Search for an update on your PS4
Download, install and enjoy 2.50 Beta
In case this does not work, try the installation via safemode “Update using Internet”. If you have setup the proxy already, it also works in safemode.

In the UK?

Get any SKFU’s Pr0xy server (wololo.net)
Start & setup the Proxy Server on your PlayStation4
Redirect “[url]https://fuk01.ps4.update.playstation.net/update/ps4/list/uk/ps4-updatelist.xml”[/url] to “[url]https://fuk01.ps4.update.playstation.net/update/ps4/beta/list/uk/ps4-updatelist.xml”[/url]
Restart your PS4

Download, install and enjoy 2.50 Beta

If you happen to be in the US, you’ll need to use a different set of XML files.

i try everything you put for US it gives me error and when i try it in safe mode it says the following version of the system software is available. Version 2.04 Not 2.50 I'm already on 2.04 WTF
