He had stats i.e damage, affinity, defense among other things higher than normal for someone to have. Any ideas?

Hmm if I had to guess he has access to advanced mode, I'm sure there's a few on here who do but are they gonna share or posted a modded save not a hope, that's just my opinion tho

No there is no advanced mode on save wizard how they do it is they use a jailbroken ps4 te decrypt there save and then edit the values there are services out there hope i gave you enough information
