What's there to ruin? There's no competitive nature to renting pawns. There's no leaderboad. There's no ranking system aside from what other players give to your pawn and it's purely cosmetic. It's purely beneficial to everyone involved with your pawn and does nothing to harm any sort of integrity to what little online there is.
