The .msi is used to install the program. There's no other way to install it.
(It does not install any other feature/programs, just Save Wizard)

Try running it as admin.

It installs a backdoor so it can update itself

Some weeks ago almost every anti virus program saw sw as a virus

It only asks to update after opening the program and it connects to their servers. 99.9% of programs nowadays check for updates after launching. :P

I know but why does it need to be installed and with an msi file...

Why can't i just extract it or convert it to an .exe file and run it like most other tools

In addition with the backdoor thing ...

I wanted to use it on an old Win XP. .NetFramework 4.x is already installed but the program doesnt install correct. Do you guys know a good / easy fix on XP?!

Ditch xp and upgrade to latest system maybe. Just use virtual machine or something if you too afraid of msi or any executable file
