He is purchasing the console for Christmas which seems like a bit far from now, but it's better to see that someone will be working on it from now; especially a ton more developers.

so is the 1.76 "useless" now or how can I understand it? I mean, when they even can "hack" the Pro version which is much better than the "normal" PS4?

1.76 is nowhere near to useless.

In addition, 1.76 is still a great firmware, especially for modding. If you really think about it, it's great for multiple developers working on different consoles. Some on normal PS4s, and some on the new PS4 Pro Console. It's better to get understanding's from all the possible console for more knowledge towards this console.

So no, 1.76 is still a light shining firmware!

EDIT: If we find a way to spoof online, running on 1.76.... oh haha... yeah Rockstar is going to be pissed..
