Twinkle, twinkle, little star. How I wonder what you a---- oh, sorry, didn't see you there. Welcome to a new thread in the PS4 Mods and Cheats Section where will we have a neat way to go through your filesystem of your PlayStation 4 console without needing FTP Servers such as FileZilla, Cerberus, WinSCP, Core FTP, Serv-U, etc. Previously, we had seen PS4 Developer You must login or register to view this content. (Z80) messing around and debugging sceshellcore.elf.

Today, he brings us a neat way on how to mount our PS4 Root as a Drive on our Computers. If you really think about it, this is really efficient. Less time to run FTP Servers (which, may sometimes crash or stop loading.). He releases some code/offsets that lets us do this on TestKits and DevKits specifically on 1.76. There may be a way to do this on Retail 1.76 mainly because Retail Kernels have MDBG functionality, and can launch decid.elf as DevKit Kernel. Who knows, we'll see soon if retails can light up a spark towards this.

TestKit's Code

    *(uint16_t *)0xFFFFFFFF82607E56 = 0x9090;
*(uint16_t *)0xFFFFFFFF82607E71 = 0x9090;

DevKit's Code

    *(uint16_t *)0xFFFFFFFF825FCFE6 = 0x9090;
*(uint16_t *)0xFFFFFFFF825FD001 = 0x9090;

In addition, we will soon get the PS4 Tutorial for this very soon from by You must login or register to view this content. from the help of two other developers: You must login or register to view this content. and You must login or register to view this content. So big thanks for them on making this happen. I'll catch you all on the next thread, peace!

It will not freeze you. I stated the FTP Servers sometimes goes slow, freezes, or crashes. In addition, it does take time to load and run the webkit playground etc.

Mounting the PS4 Root as a drive can be efficient by using your directories on your computer without needing an FTP.
