He did say this does not work on 4.50 since Sony had accidentally patched up a bunch of exploits by switching WebKits Branches. So, if you're on 4.50, you're out of luck. Since this is better than 1.76 and 3.55, we might have a great thing here, so better go ahead and buy a new PS4, or stay below 4.50. This actually works on any firmware below 4.50, but if it is stable, this will be an amazing new thing besides the 1.76/3.55.

This is a WebKit exploit. It allows you to read / write to memory. If your not a developer this isn't much use to you just now. However it's an entry point & if a kernel exploit is relseased to the public for 3.55 - 4.7 then a kernel exploit + this WebKit exploit would be considered a "jailbreak" or as close as you could get anyway.

That is if the 3.55 situation doesn't repeat itself and nobody ends up releasing a kernel exploit. Working with ps4 exploits past 1.76 is going to be difficult until native code execution is figured out. Sony made sure to patch everything used in 1.76 to make it as hard as possible for that to happen again.
