As SC58 said, it's the same as 1.76, but on a higher firmware. One thing I would like to add though. Since we're on a higher firmware, we could basically modify literally most of the games that are out. For an example,
Black Ops 3, it could only be mounted or ran on firmware 2.57, which wasn't possible back in 1.76. So, new CODs that never been modded before will be attacked for the first time in history. That's boring though, hopefully, someone makes something fun instead of the same stuff from COD. Modding isn't the point though. This Kernel Exploit is once in a lifetime, and it's pretty amazing how #F0F released it. Modding shouldn't be the main focus, but for other things such as homebrew and finding out more things we could use it for.
If you're into "modding" here is a table format on Google Docs on the games that are below 4.05. Not all of them are here, but any that are above 1.76 is now possible.
