Post: My account was hacked but they put 2SV on it

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So recently my account was hacked. They changed the email, password and put a 2SV (2-Step Verification) on it with there mobile phone. I called sony and got my account back because I had the original email and serial number. But i cannot access my account due to the 2SV on the account. Sony said they transferred the case to a specialist and if approved ill receive an email within 1-2 business days to change my password and the 2SV will be gone. Today marks day 3 and no email yet.

So questions.

- Will I get my account back with full access? (No 2SV on it)
- Why haven't I gotten a email yet?



Any help is appreciated!

If you made the account on the PS4 you're using right now. You can give them the serial number on your console, and you will automatically get it.

Depends if they approve it, then its a 50/50% Chance. If you don't received it, then that means it officially terminated your request, and you will not get it. Never lose hope, you never know man.

I made it on PS3.

And I asked the support guy if I would get a email regardless of the the request and he said I would. But I dont know. Really sucks.

If you still own the PS3, call them up and give them your serial number off of the PS3, and you'll get it less than 4 minutes. I promise. That simple.. if you sold it.. well you fucked up there lol.

No I still have the PS3.

I gave them the serial to get my account back after it was hacked. I changed the email and pass but cant get access cuz of the 2SV

So they're not letting you allow access to the account due to 2SV even though you have the serial number in hand? What the fuck. They should give it to you, or just give them your phone number you have on the 2SV.

Exactly. And Its not my number on the 2SV , its the "Hackers" number.

Did you try and tell them they changed it? You can probably ask them if you could give them the old information, it could work. Back to the main solution, they denied your serial number because of the 2SV? If they did Sony is full of shit.

No. They accepted it and allowed me to change my email and password back. But I cannot access my account because of the 2SV on the account. They asked me if i enabled one and i said no and they said they forwarded the case to a specialist who will look into it and ill receive a email in 1-2 business days.

Well that sucks... try calling back to see if they ever looked back into it. You know how lazy Sony Employees are.
