Before I do it, will the PS4's download speed be throttled down like the PS3's was? If it is, then I'll pre-download the update now, but if it's not then I'll just hold off.

ive not seen/heard anything about it. i assume it wont be due to the sizes of games now. it could take ages to people to download them.

Is there a big difference if you download with USB or through the internet when the console comes out?

I've never downloaded through a USB lol.
