(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Take-Two Interactive Software, Rockstar Games revolutionized the gaming world with its interpretation of the Wild West in ‘Red Dead Redemption’ and spin-off ‘Undead Nightmare’. This classic third-person open-world action game won accolades upon release on PS3 and Xbox 360.

With the arrival of current-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One, gamers would love to play their favorite cowboy John Marston’s adventures, in full HD, despite having moved on a long time ago. Considering all the remastered editions of PS3 and Xbox 360 titles released over the past year, Red Dead Redemption is a perfect choice for the company. However, there has not been any confirmed news on the rerelease of the game.

The game was released back in 2010, and now, fans would most probably love to see a definitive version of it with all DLC and updated graphics. With Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar is expected to do the same as it did with ‘Grand Theft Auto V’. It would also be interesting to see re-masters for ‘Red Dead Revolver’, the spiritual predecessor of Red Dead Redemption, and for ‘Max Payne 3’.

John Marston’s tale is heroic and tragic like the Wild West and offers some of the best that Rockstar Games has ever offered in an open-world title. Many features from RDD have been implemented on GTA V, such as the bullet time effects and cover shooting system.

Red Dead Redemption’s story can clearly be continued in a sequel. For those who have not played the original game as yet and are wary of spoilers, must stop reading now.

In the game’s plot Marston’s son Jack was also a playable character briefly in the end, hence indicating that a sequel could introduce him as an outlaw successor to his slain father. Having said this, there is clear potential in the Red Dead Redemption franchise that can be further exploited.
