I beg you don't get a cheap ass one. Get a mid range or high end if you can afford it, it makes the world of difference

lol, i have been doing my research, the best i have seen is a samsung for $400+ interesting spec for me is its (4k with hdr, 120z refresh rate, 3 hdmi) i have seen a tcl with the same spec for a couple bucks cheaper, and it is running roku os, which i favor over sammy tizen any day. both are about 40inches

Base ps4 is more than alright for Full HD. Games still look great in my opinion. I'm gonna stick with it till next gen most likely. But who knows, maybe one day I will buy a 4k TV alongside with Pro.

Even if you don't have a 4k TV, the Pro is the way to go because of the beefier processing power. The difference in some games is night and day. What may cause a frame drop on PS4 will likely not on the Pro.

I develop Fallout 4 mods, and my mods can and will crash a regular PS4, while the Pro will run them fine. This was concluded after many tests. The physics and radius - as well as the sheer quantity of explosions is way to much for the PS4 to render at once so it freezes. It doesn't even blue screen, it hard freezes and you have to reset the system. Pro will survive every time. Fallout doesn't even have 4k graphics, so it goes to show the importance of processing power.

Obviously that's a more extreme case, due to being modded and user made - but it goes to show that the beefed up CPU and GPU do make a difference. Naturally most developers are conscious of this, and will optimize their work for either - but sometimes it's not that cut and dry.

Not to mention the built in mode/option that enhances performance even on 1080p games.

4k tv is by no means the only reason to get a Pro. It certainly is a benefit, but even if I had a 1080p TV, I'd rather use a pro.

There is literally no reason, outside of price point, to recommend a PS4 regular to somebody, it is blatantly inferior.
