If you're starting from very little money then the Bronze pack method is always a good place to start, by 400 coin Bronze packs and simply list everything in the pack with the exception of anything more valuable such as a Squad fitness, for 200 coins. It's a relatively easy and straight-forward way to make small profit fast, assuming you don't have many coins to start with.

If you have a significant amount of coins then I would recommend trading TOTW players, buy them towards the end of the week before the next team releases, and hold on to them for a while until demand increases and their price grows. However at this time of the year that sort of trading is not going to bring you significant profit and it would be best to try that when FIFA 15 comes out.
