This tutorial is about getting a Dead Space 2 platinum, Possibly will help get 100% when someone can confirm whether or not the DLC works or not. Finally Complete Hey guys, I have been working on a complete save set for Dead Space 2 so far and I have been making quite good progress with it, I am here to share it with you for people who are having difficulties earning some trophies. Finally completed it and is now available to you lazy lot :gobz: Works with all versions of the game. Just make sure that you copy it correctly. Note: I have not got the DLC so I will not be able to post any of them saves up, so if anyone has DLC saves or is willing to do them, let me know and I will post them up. So far I have 2 saves of my own and 1 save from Lukastim80 which unlock multiple trophies which will help out majorly. First off this was made 100x easier thanks to Lukastim80 because he uploaded a Hardcore and Zaelot save which unlocks possibly the two hardest trophies in the game. Thank him for these not me, Link to his profile: His save is probably the best thing to use because it Does not require DLC to be used. Thank Lukastim80 for this.. Hardcore and Zaelot This is what unlocks with his save. Spoiler: When the game is loaded the first thing that will pop is The Librarian, Easy stuff.. oh before going on, I would decide what difficulty to play first, If you fancy doing a play through with the hand cannon, then I suggest changing the difficulty to Zaelot first so you can get that trophy so then you can reload the save and play on hardcore and make a new game+ on that, Right where was I?.. As soon as you leave the room, an invincible necromorph will drop from the air, shoot him in the limbs to drop him on the floor and this will unlock Shoot the limbs!. Then just continue with the game, when the game is completed you will unlock whatever difficulty you are playing along with, Made Us Whole and The Fugitive. So here is the list of what this save unlocks. The Librarian Shoot the Limbs! Mission Impossible Hard to the Core Made Us Whole The Fugitive First aid (if damaged) Nothing will instant pop for you as you will have to complete one of everything in order for it to complete. Miscellaneous Save 1: I have added a guide on how to unlock the trophies with that save, here is the copy and paste on the first save Spoiler: You do not need the DLC for these saves to work. This save gives you multiple trophies, here is what unlocked and how to unlock them. I carried on playing up to the part where Isaac hilucinates Nicoles final moments in the Ishimura. List of what unlocks Hornet's nest Romper Stomper ...And Stay Down Think Fast Frozen In Time First Aid Epic Dismemberment Picking Favourites Fully Loaded The Sampler Platter The Librarian It's a trap Necro Flambe Brute Juke Fully outfitted (not tested) Lawnmower man. (not tested) The first trophies that are going to pop are Epic Dismemberment, Librarian, Sample Platter & Hornets nest (Possibly First Aid) When the save loads equip the hand cannon. The Lirbarian Trophy will pop on load. Kinesis the canisters into the Huge canisters, go down the elevator and repeat, a Huge enemy will drop from the sky down towards you, I didn't try it but you can try stasis by pressing Triangle on him and then shoot him with the Hand cannon. This will unlock Sampler platter & epic dismemberment. Press R3 to find where you have to go, run to another elevator take it up then run to the tram. This will then unlock Hornets nest. If you got damaged press circle to replinsh your health and unlock first aid. Continue with the game, you will go back to the ishimura. *Scary moments huh* When you come to a shop, You should get rid of the hand cannon and put the weapons stored in the store back into your inventory which are The ripper and Flamethrower. When running down the long corridoor in the ishimura a Brute will jump out behind some boxes, try not to get damaged and tis will unlock Brute Juke Try using either the mine gun or the flamethrower on it to unlock either Necro Flambe or It's a trap, don't worry though there is another Brute coming up literally 30 seconds later. so you can repeat with the other gun. If you come up to an upgrade bench beforehand, respec one of your completely upgraded weapons and then throw all the power nodes back on to unlock Picking Favourites and Fully loaded. I have not tested but if you respec all the weapons and throw them on your rig and statis I'm sure fully outfitted will pop. Try shooting a necromorph in the leg to drop him to the ground with the plasma cutter then run over and press R2 to stomp the shit out of his head to unlock ...And Stay down. You should come to an area where there are a few necromorphs around where there are holes in the ground with blood splattered everywhere try equipping the ripper and try killing 4 enemies to unlock lawnmower man. Miscellaneous Save 2: There is a guide inside but here is the copy and paste from it. Spoiler: Misc saves 2 Load up the save and go over to the shop, sell the flamethrower to gain about 80k I think it is. If you haven't already, go the bench and put the last 4 nodes on the detonator to unlock fully loaded. Respec your weapons for nodes if you need the fully outfitted trophy. Buy the Line gun and the javelin gun I think it's called, and throw the plasma cutter into the store (not selling) Your load out should be the javelin gun, line gun and Hand Cannon. continue with the story and you will come to an elevator a big open area, with loads of windows. Your best best would be to equip the hand cannon and when the elevator is in motion keep moving in circles and use the hand cannon to shoot every single enemy you see, If you killed enough enemies/all of them then you will gain a trophy called.. Elevator Action. If you come to an area after coming out of the elevator where there is enemies called Cysts, they are enemies implanted on the ground and throw mines in the direction they're looking. the idea is to run up to one that is implanted on the ground, not on the wall as it's more difficult. You want to go near one so it throws a mine, you have to be quick because if you don't catch it, the mine will fall down and the cyst would of killed himself, to grab a mine when it throws it hold R1 then press circle to grab it, once grabbed throw it back at the enemy who threw it to unlock Bouncing Betty. Continue with the story and you will come to an open area with a decompression window, This will be a little tricky to picture but try to do what I did Kinesis the exploding canisters away from the window, and throw them completely out of the way. Statis the enemy attacking you so he will leave you alone for the time being run into the middle of where the decompression window is and it will spawn two laser traps, shoot them both, then a load of crawlers will spawn along with two of the bigger enemies make sure you see about 5 of them but don't go near the crawlers as they will explode. Make sure you see 5 then shoot the window. Wait for all of them to go out then shoot the window to secure yourself. If done correctly you will unlock Vacuum Cleaner. Then continue with the main plot, press R3 if you don't know where to go. Continue with the story you will come to an AI area where Tiedmann tries preventing you with succeeding with your mission. This is the area where you will get Collect peng and The electrician. It's hard to explain so I will show you a video on youtube on how to collect the peng treasure. In one of the cupboard things though is a semi-conducter to unlock the electrician. Here is the video. Then after continuing with the main story and shooting the cores and destroying the AI continue on and Shut Down will unlock, then continue on you will come across some enemies right after stross and ellie are speaking to isaac through the comm thing. you will come across an enemy called a Lurker, they have 3 like tentacles and they are tiny creatures, the idea is for them to be flat on the ground, you can not do it if they are on the walls. You will need to equip your line gun and make sure all tentacles are in the air, shoot them and make sure you sever all of them or it is not going to work. This unlocks Clean Cut. So the trophies that unlock with this save. Elevator Action Shut down Vacuum Cleaner Collect Peng The Electrician Clean Cut Bouncing Betty. I'm sure other trophies would pop if you continued past the point I did. Miscellaneous Save 3: Here is what the guide says.. Spoiler: You will come to an area where you face like little kid aliens. You will get three trophies with this save entitled, My Boom Stick, Shock Therapy + Lawnmower man, For lawnmower man, make sure there are a few round you and not to crowded otherwise you will get hit and lose a blade, all you have do is kill 4 people with one blade, super easy in that area, Press start and checkpoint restart. Shock therapy is quite different, equip the javelin gun, and shoot one of the enemies, when there is a crowd and as soon as the bullet as hit him press R2 as this will trigger off your secondary fire and electrocute enemies close by, make sure you kill atleast 3 with the secondary fire. Press start and checkpoint restart My boom stick is a bit trickier than the previous 2,Make sure the Line gun is equiped. you will need to make sure there are 6 enemies around you Shoot into the floor with secondary fire R2 and make sure it blows up 6 of them, if you don't succeed just press start and restart checkpoint Continue with the story and you will go up an elevator and you will see an alien kid jump off the balcony. If you look left you will see a big statue type thing spinning on a pedestal in a blue jumpsuit thing. Shoot that in the head so lightspeed de milo pops too. continue with story again, you will hack a manual, go up an elevator, and you will come to a corridoor with a decompression window at the end. Have the Javelin gun equipped and Wait for enemies to come into your line of sight and then shoot one of them into the window. This will smash the window and unlock Skewered in Space. continue with the story you will come to a zero-gravity area, where you have to flick two switches, once they are switched you will have to fly down a maintenance tunnel and avoid all the debris, once avoided and in the next room, One small step will unlock. They have guides in each save so don't worry if you do not know what to do, some of the saves have videos where is has been to hard to explain so yeah. I finally managed to go through the game say for the 30th time:wtf: and managed to save everything right before a trophy, This should give you a platinum with all the saves provided above, If someone does have a DLC 100% to add then please do so.
