On May 4th, 2012, Sony will be holding the beloved and annual E3 conference held to hype gamers up for what's to come in the near and far future for everything Playstation. Just a quick reminder, Sony hasn't revealed all of their games already, however, they have said that E3 will hold "more than 20 new gaming experiences". What could they mean?

Via Sony's 2012 E3 website, they have invited anyone and everyone to join them at the conference, here is what they said:

"Come join PlayStation as we give the largest show in entertainment a triple shot of excitement. Be one of the first to witness the launch of more than 20 new gaming experiences. Meet up with developers one-on-one. Then check out the new lineup firsthand and keep on playing as long as you can."

Their wording holds excitement, when you hear "launch of..." and "new" in a sentence by a company as big as Sony themselves, you feel as if it's something really big. But we must also remember that they all can't be games we haven't read or heard about, there must be a mixture of games coming up such as The Last of Us, as well as all the other PlayStation-exclusive announcements as of recently. However, twenty games is a big package, even if it's for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, so be ready to see a lot of new protagonists attempt to steal the spotlight of the Playstation gaming community.

Also, some more good news has been said by Sony, a plethora of the games displayed at the 2012 E3 conference will be playable, meaning (if you attend), you'll be able to test run as many games as you want while attending the show floor, here's what the website said:

"200+ PLAYABLE
KIOSKS. 72 HOURS…
NEVER STOP PLAYING.
"

The e-announcement also claims that they will be announcing the "future of gameplay and innovation", while adding they will be "sharing more information about the new PlayStation lineup, products, and services that will drive the upcoming year in entertainment".

More information will be revealed closer to the said date, while us at NextGenUpdate will be on top of all information released.

What do you think Sony has in store at the conference? What games are you anticipating to be announced, and do you think it will be a good year for the PlayStation 3, Vita, and other Sony products?
