(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});343 Industries is pulling off more and more different features in Halo 4 than previous titles in the franchise, and it's looking interesting. This time, they revealed a new gun to be in the game and some different 'tweaks' they'll be performing on the title.
The gun being analyzed is the Rail Gun, or, if you may, the Asymmetric Recoilless Carbine-920. If you needed a description of the gun itself, Game Informer stated it's "a compact-channel linear accelerator that fires a high-explosive round at incredible speed, delivering both kinetic and explosive force to both hard and soft targets alike". If you're thinking "What the fuck does that mean?!", well, my fellow Halo enthusiast, we're looking at a new gun that looks like a monster, when it hits, it'll blow your sack off, and it's deathly.
This new name will join the heavily dangerous arsenal including the Marksman Rifle, Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, and Sniper Rifle. However, due to 343's very creative team, it's highly doubted that these will be the only weapons you'll be tinkering with throughout the game.
In a Game Informer podcast, 343 Industry's creative director Josh Holmes also gave some information regarding a progressive unlock system, much similar to the FPS Call of Duty franchise. Do not fear, if the loadout you choose results in you getting your ass kicked on the battlefield, you'll still be able to pick up various weapons that have been dropped and raise some hell.
Holmes has also stated the loadout won't be anything out of the ordinary. They just believe that Dual Wielding has been burned out due to many videogames ruining the DPS rate, especially Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, specifically commenting about the Akimbo FMG9 players. Halo 4 is trying it's best to be as balanced as possible, do you think it'll happen?
