(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have had my Xbox 360 Slim for about 6 months now and it really irritates me because when I play on it it makes this very noticable humming noise from it reading the disk. Does the regular xbox do this because when I go to my friends house (he has a regular Xbox) it makes pretty much no noise. Can you tell me which one is better. I can simply return my Xbox Slim from where I bought it from and get a new one or money back so is it the console itself or the slim in general. I will + Rep for help.

It makes less noise when you lay it on the side
When I bought it made lots of noise vertical
I laid it horz for like a week
Then it stopped making the humming noise even if I put it vertical

Maybe the HDD is rattling
Open that up and give it a shake and put it back in
My friend had this problem

Lay it on the side! Because of you setting it strait strives the disk down some and puts pressure on holding it!
