We as staff try our best to remove any malicious programs, but unfortunately some slip through. This includes applications that may try to steal your PS3's console ID. Below are some tips to avoid this from happening:

Tips to avoid having your ID stolen:

•Spoof your ID to an invalid one before using a tool (this will also require you to use the tool offline).
•Use a program like WireShark to see what connections a tool is making.
•Check the thread in which the tool is released. Look for any posts that either confirm or debate the authenticity of the tool.

Also beware of RATs (Remote Administrative Tools)! RATs have started to increase more on the site as more and more users are posting them so please make sure that you check the virus scans before downloading. If a file does not contain a virus scan, please report the thread so a mod can take care of it.
