iPad 2 :y: I was getting a iPhone for Christmas because I already have an iPad but I prefer to buy an HTC. HTC now have a better OS because is free(have some liberty) now you can even install 3 party apps.

Iphone 4. If your getting it at a discount not retail or anything id go with iphone 4s otherwise dont get it its not needed.
Iphone 4 is better then a bulking i mean Huge ass tv.

Only reason i'd get a ipad would be to watch netflix on while sitting on couch watching tv or out of home.
Iphone will get you farther

so i should get ipad2 and get a htc phone

sorted then i buy the ipad 2 then look for a htc phone after christmas

IMO iPhone 4, to me its a lot easier to carry around and is just more convenient.

I love the HTC phones, they are very nice but what sucks is I have found the screens crack easily.
