It has come to me that supply drops go by a few major factors:

1. Kills
   
2. Game mode
   
3. Time spent
   
4. XP Gained/Challenges completed(Not fully proven)
   

Multiple YouTubers have tested these methods in several ways.
Method 1:

You go to a cage match with a friend rack up 9 kills and wait for 30 seconds then take turns getting the last kill.

Method 2:

You go to Ground War with a decent team. If done properly you can average 3-6 per game.

Method 3:

Go to search and destroy with a decent team and win. You can rack in up to 2-3 if done right.

Method 4:

Go AFK, however, your character must be moving. Therefore find a way to hold or thumb stick down

Ways this can be used:
If used properly you may be able to boost in S& for keys.
