yes it pretty much cancles out danger close, or gives it +50 health i belive to explosive damage

If you have it and a Riot Shield, and someone slams a predator right into you, you can survive it, but the Predator has to hit the Riot Blast Shield, it cannot hit beside you

Yea its does. It works best in normal modes to block noob tubes and survive them if they hit near by. Though it isn't very useful in hardcore modes because damage is increased by so much that using the blast shield or not doesn't make a difference in my opinion.

i have blast shield on almost all my classes and i just leave it on. its extremely helpful

i hate blast shield, clamores are better

Blast Shield is a great equipment, used it as I tried to finish the equipment challenges and it feels so good pissing the noobtubers. Granted close range it doesn't help much but it cancels Danger Close pretty well.

You could have solved this by not posted and testing it your self. /facepalm

i find that the blast shield does what its supposed to do, but generally when the other team is tubing, the entire other team is tubing, so yeah it will keep you from dying to the first tube, but if you get hit again before you fully recover in health, your dead.....i dont use it, i like my throwing knife better
