Sounds like they want to make a new brand, breaking away from the WW2 stereotype that has been attached to the Call of Duty title...and by the sounds of it we may get a MW3 or another brand arriving from IW...one can prey! :-)

I'm uber happy that IW seem to have signed a production contract with Activision though...IW haven't disspointed yet, lets hope it continues! :-D

I've got to agree with Ant-Morley-04, when you think Modern Warfare or World at War you think Call of Duty! I hate to hear that Infinity Ward is breaking the Call of Duty off. I only started playing Call of Duty when Modern Warfare came out, I have heard of it in the past but dismissed it as just another WW2 franchise. A friend of mine heavily recommened Modern Warfare when it came out and to shut him up I ended up purchasing it, little did I know it would become one of the best games I have EVER played! Call of Duty is a definate selling point in a name alone. I see Infinity Ward blowing up if they had a whole Modern Warfare divsion of games. I see BIG things in there future for sure!!!

I have pros and cons about it

I like it because it separates Infinity Ward, and it almost tries to disconnect their links with Call of Duty.

I don't like it because I still think of CoD6, but I also think its a bad idea to end the CoD series with World at War, I just don't like that.
