Seems like Activision is taking a big step on getting this game out, they’ve knocked out the Call of Duty and banged out a trailer. Additionally, they’ve even made official press release set on November 10th.

In a recent announcement at GDC, Infinity Ward dropped their Call of Duty name from Modern Warefare 2. The game is now simply titled “Modern Warfare 2″. I still find it quite bizarre considering how popular the “Call of Duty” franchise is.

The most beneficial part is that it will distinguish the difference between World at War and Modern Warfare. Additionally, shorter names do tend to be more convenient in many ways.
