Over the past few days excitement has spread around the internet about the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 is rumoured to be having a two player co-op campaign mode.
Well, that excitement has now come to an end with the latest comments by Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling who today confirmed the rumours are made up and the campaign won't be co-op.
The confusion of this rumour was caused by the comment the General Manager of co-developer Sledgehammer Games made. He mentioned mw3 to be having Spec Ops and two player co-op. Which people gained the wrong info from.
Many thought since he had said spec ops and co-op that he ment two player co-op was coming to the both, when it actually referred to Spec Ops only.
When asked “What’s this about the #MW3 Campaign being Co-Op”, Bowling clarified in a tweet: “That was in reference to Special Ops coming back in #MW3 with new modes and features.”
