Why must you compile it in Visual Studio? Your best bet is to convert it to VC++ then compile your code.
Visual Studio is the easiest for a non-programmer to compile. And Visual Studio is also for more than VB and VC++.
You could start a new Win32 application and make it an empty project, then just add a new cpp file and paste that in there and compile it. Should build and all. Didn't read through the code to see if there were any other requirements.
